Planning a trip to Redding and looking for events, festivals, concerts and things to do in October 2022? Come celebrate fall in Redding with festivals, Halloween haunts, and more! Here are a few of our favorite Redding events in October to add to your list.
Historic Hawes Farms - All Month Long
Hawes Farm is welcoming Halloween with their seasonal pumpkin patch and corn maze! Pick a pumpkin, get lost in the corn maze, and enjoy a wide variety of attractions, such as go carts, a zipline, and a train ride through the farm.
Nash Ranch - All Month Long
Celebrate Fall at Nash Ranch! Pumpkin Patch Festival each weekend in October includes farm animal petting zoo, corn maze, hay maze, air pillow obstacle course and slide, train ride, food booths plus other snacks such as popcorn and snow cones!
Heritage Day - October 9
Historical crafts come alive during Heritage Day at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park! From noon to 4pm, head over to Burney Falls and learn about the pioneer lifestyle where you can participate in candle making, doll-making, branding cedar rounds and calligraphy. With live music, food, and period costumes, this annual event is a fun time you won't want to miss!
Note: Parking at McArthur-Burney Falls Memorial State Park is limited. It is recommended that you arrive early to ensure you get a spot. Parking along the highway outside the park is not allowed.
Redding Farmers Markets - All Month Long
There's no better start to a summers day then enjoying some fruit fresh off the vine, or indulging in a locally made fresh pastry. And luckily in Redding, you can find both at the same place! Going 45 years strong, the Redding Farmers Market takes place every Saturday behind City Hall and is the place to go for locally grown produce and artisan goods.
Hawes Haunts - September 30 - October 29
Regular corn maze just not spooky enough for you? Head to Hawes Farms after dark for Hawes Haunts and Halloween horrors! Enter the haunted corn maze, or face a zombie horde - if you dare.
Parental Advisory: Hawes Haunts scenes are created for ages 18 and older and are rated "R". Props may contain nudity, gore, or violent scenes.
Dreams of Darkness Haunted House - October 1-19
Dreams of Darkness is one of the longest haunted attractions in America and the only professional haunted house in Redding. You will walk an unguided path from the ghost towns and mines of the Wild West, to the bayous and swamps of the Deep South, through the home of The Clown, encountering an unknowable terror at every turn.
Rocktober Downtown - October 8
Head on down to the all NEW Rocktober Downtown for live music, Food Trucks, Beer tasting and a Wine Garden! Tickets include 4 beer tasting tokens and a commemorative Event Glass.
Big Bike Weekend - October 8-9
Bring your motorcycle and head on over for Big Bike Weekend! The city is alive with fellow bikers, live entertainment, a bike show, and more.
Oktoberfest - October 15
Head on over to the Turtle Bay Exploration Park for their annual Oktoberfest! Enjoy adult and family fun with live music, outdoor games, kids crafts, beer, tasty food, and most importantly, the costume contest!
Joe Satriani - October 1
Come see Joe Satriani live in concert at the Cascade Theatre. It's sure to be a show you won't want to miss!
The Rocky Horror Show - October 7-29
Head on over to Axiom Repertory Theater to experience this cult classic live on stage! Axiom's annual performance of Rocky is a community favorite, and sure to be a rockin' fun time!

Tower of Power - October 14
With a history 50+ years in the making, Tower of Power has been a funk institution since 1968. See them live at the Cascade Theatre for a concert you won't want to miss!
The Fall of the House of Usher - October 21 - November 5
Head on over to Riverfront Playhouse for a riveting performance of Poe’s classic tale retold as a 1930’s detective story.
Living Loving Led - October 22
Head on over to the Cascade Theatre for Living Loving Led. Weaving classic live versions into album versions, all songs are performed in the original keys, complete with three piece harmonies, keyboards and acoustics - “a rock and roll show guaranteed to put you directly on the stairway to heaven!”
