Whiskeytown National Recreation Area Ranger-Guided Kayak and Paddle Board Tours - All Month Long
Summer is here - and that means it's time to get out on the lake! And there's no better way to explore the lake then with Whiskeytown National Recreation Area's ranger-guided kayak and paddle board tours. Offered throughout the month at multiple times of the day, all equipment is provided as you join a Whiskeytown Ranger and paddle the lake. And the best part? It's completely FREE!
Whiskeytown National Recreation Area Ranger-Guided Patio Boat Tours - All Month Long
Looking for a more low-key way to explore the lake? Look no further! In addition to their kayak and paddleboard tours the Whiskeytown rangers also offer weekly patio boat tours on Friday. Hop aboard a patio boat for a free two-hour tour of the lake filled with fun facts about the park courtesy of your ranger guide. You might even get the opportunity to go swimming!
Redding Colt 45's - All Month Long
Come root for the home team with the Redding Colt 45's, Redding's minor league baseball team. All month long, catch the Colt 45's games at Tiger Field for a fun-filled evening of America's favorite pastime!
Redding Farmers Markets - All Month Long
There's no better start to a summers day then enjoying some fruit fresh off the vine, or indulging in a locally made fresh pastry. And luckily in Redding, you can find both at the same place! Going 45 years strong, the Redding Farmers Market takes place three times a week and is the place to go for locally grown produce and artisan goods.
Freedom Festival - July 4
Happy 4th of July! The City of Redding pulls out all the stops for Independence Day with the Redding Civic Auditorium's lawn transforming into a hub for live music, food, and vendors. And this is all before the real show - at dark the night sky lights up with a dazzling display of fireworks that is not to be missed!
Every Brilliant Thing - June 1-2
Start off the month by going to see Axiom Repertory Theatre's Every Brilliant Thing. This play about the struggle of depression and the lengths we will go for family is sure to leave you moved.
Chris Young: On the Lawn - July 7
Head on over to the Redding Civic Auditorium for an outdoor country concert with Chris Young! Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and enjoy food and drinks from a variety of local food trucks.
Chapter Two - July 15-August 18
Axiom Repertory Theatre presents Chapter Two, a play about finding love again that you won't want to miss! Fortunately, with weekend showings throughout July and August, you'll have plenty of chances to see it!
